Description

Light color rose gold or pink gold 1940s vintage watch band buckle, discovered as new old stock. Early American-made arched shaped vintage watch band buckle stamped 1/90 10K RGP on back. RGP stands for rolled gold plating, an early vintage watch buckle material that looks just like solid gold but it much stronger. Difficult item to find vintage watchband buckle in the old style with the most common 16mm inner opening to fit most straps. We have many NOS straps in my Exotic Skin Straps and Leather Vintage bands section that take this size buckle. Often these are leather straps with 16mm 17mm 17.3mm 18mm 19mm or 20mm lug end sizes. Top to bottom clearance through the buckle is 8.5mm so this buckle will only work with flat, unpadded style straps and lightly padded bands.
